Notes: The yew grows on the edge of an 8' drop to the private road below. A public footpath crosses this road about 120m from the tree. The reason for this yew's location cannot be certain, but a well and natural spring are close by. The tree would also be visible in the landscape from a considerable distance, perhaps acting as a marker for the route leading to a church.
