Notes: Nant-ddu cemetery is on the A470 between Merthyr Tydfyl and Brecon, at a height of almost 1000' above sea level. The chapel, dedicated to St Mary is now gone, though there are photographs of it in a decayed state in 1993. The building outline is now marked by a raised grass area. The graves are all old and give the impression that there has not been a burial here for decades. Of the three female yews that grow here one is on the west side of the old building and the other two east of the old church, next to the A470.
