Notes: Lewis's 1833 Topographical Dictionary of Wales reported that 'the churchyard is large, and remarkable for the great number of yew-trees of extraordinary growth which it contains'. The church is thought to have been founded in the late 13th century. Of twenty three yews around the outside of churchyard, two are noted here.
