Notes: Penterry was originally located beside a Roman road. Today the church is in an isolated position in a field adjoining the site of a deserted village and a plague pit. The present church was largely rebuilt in the mid-19th century. Two small girthed but interesting and complex yews grow here, both at the east end of the building.
