Notes: Pentrefoelas in medieval times was catered for by a chapel on land belonging to Aberconwy Abbey. It is recorded that there was evidence of a chapel at Pentrefoelas in the 16th century. The site, south of the river bridge, is now a playing field, although we are told that a yew tree denotes the former chapel yard.
