Notes: The yews clearly predate the farmhouse which we think was built after 1908, when the Ramsdean estate was sold off. Two years ago both yews had a crown reduction of around 2m due to encroachment on the farmhouse roof. At the same time Tree Preservation Orders were obtained from Hampshire County Council. It was recommended that removal of the bushy epicormic growth from both trees would allow their natural beauty to shine through.
