Notes: This wood, covers about 100 acres, is three miles west of Oswestry. Two particularly large yews and numerous smaller specimens grow in a landscape of limestone cliffs and huge fallen or ice deposited boulders in this geologically complex area. Some public footpaths run through the area, but the present owners (Roma and Ian Room and family - 2009) welcome visitors and have created designated trails which include the most significant yews.
