Notes: A known site of worship since the early 13th century. A yew was described in 1797 as split in two by a thunder-bolt, and now so widely separated as to have the appearance of two trees. The engraving shows that the tree grew NE of the church. The tree was also described in John Hassell's 1818 Picturesque Rides and Walks: "There is a remarkable yew tree in the churchyard, which has been rent asunder, apparently by some violent concussion of nature."
