Notes: In Brayley's Topographical History of Surrey 1850 we are told on p46 that "nearly in the centre of the churchyard is a remarkably fine old yew-tree, and there are two or three smaller ones which, from their appearance, are yet more ancient." Three yews in this churchyard were recorded by Straker in 1880, Lowe in 1895 and the History of the County of Surrey in 1912. None are alive today.
