Notes: A church was founded here in 1049. The yew, in spite of being reduced to a stump, was chosen to be one of the 50 Great British Trees to celebrate the Queen's jubilee year. The postcard called it 'the largest yew tree in the world'. Wood from the yew was used to make the fine altar and a branch cross section is displayed in the church porch.
