Notes: A bronze age barrow reused as a Norman motte, excavated in 1855. It is about 70 yards SSW of St Weonards church. This is an 'ancient meeting place for one of the Herefordshire hundreds, certainly a Saxon moot site, believed to be on a prehistoric funerary mound' (Extract from The Ancient Yew by Robert Bevan-Jones).
