Notes: Hampshire Treasures Vol 6 -1979/86 describes 'an old church in a grove of yew trees'. 2011 Peter Norton: Church and trees are seen in this old photograph. The cross marks the site of the original All Saints Church in Stratton Park, north of the village. All that remains of the yew grove are 5 stumps, set in a horse shoe shape around the cross. I would guess that the trees were clear felled about a decade ago. 2006 Russell Cleaver: The yew shown is on private land approximately 100 metres from the cross marking the site of the demolished East Stratton church. There appear to be a large number of yews in this area.
