Notes: In the 1833 Topographical Dictionary it is reported that 'prior to the last century, the church, it is presumed, was regularly served; and there are persons still living who recollect the existence of tombstones: an aged yew-tree indicates the site of the building, but the whole is now covered by a small plantation of firtrees'. In 1998 I found this site of old ecclesiastical ruins. The land on which it stands is privately owned and apparently listed and protected. The area is full of ancient field markings. The tree can be seen from a public footpath which passes the ruins.
