Aberedw

Tree ID: 1802

Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m

Tree girth: 587cm

Girth height: at 30cm

Tree sex: male

Date of visit: 24-Apr-04

Source of earliest mention: 1867: Woolhope Naturalists' Field Club Transactions

Notes:

April 2004 – Tim Hills: Hollowness in lower part of bole, internal growth visible. Girth was 19′ 3” (587cm) at about 1′.
2015 – Paul Wood: The smaller of the two yews could not be measured due to rubbish, broken glass and stone piled against the tree. The ground level appeared to be higher than on the previous photographs. A combination of twiggy growth, low branches and the placement of a shed made it impossible to take a sequence of photographs.
