Notes:

1975: The photo shows the tree when it was alive.
1988: A letter to David Bellamy at the Conservation Foundation contained the following description: ‘An unusual yew tree with four trunks growing from a central rotten trunk. The bole measures 26′ at 3′ high and 27′ at 4′ high. It stands 13 feet from the south-west corner of the churchyard’. Based on this information, Allen Meredith estimated an age of 1400 years for the yew and a certificate was issued.
1999 – Tim Hills: The yew was inundated with ivy and showed no signs of life.
2011 – Peter Norton: The trunks are more clearly visible. No sign of life.
