Notes:May 1998 – Tim Hills: The yew is split into 3 sections with chains and cable attempting to prevent further separation. The smallest section appeared to be dead, but had some new growth on it. A girth of 21′ 0” (640cm) at 1′ was recorded.
October 2015 – Peter Norton: The yew can be seen on Google Maps 51.986254, -2.916922 (Lat/Long). The large male yew grows southeast of the church and near to the gate. It is hollow and is separating into two distinct halves. There are the remains of a once large chain that would have held the two halves together. Recent cutting of thick stemmed ivy also evident. Girth of 21′ 9” (663cm) at about 1′.
