Notes:The yew grows on Yew Tree Farm. The owners provided the following information in 1992: ‘It was struck by lightning in 1924. You will see by the photo taken from the north side where all the dead wood was sawn off; the tree is hollow. The girth at 3 feet is 19 feet (579cm) and at 4 feet is 18ft 6ins (564cm). It is female, having berries in the autumn’.
In 2024 Owen Johnson recorded a girth of 5.62m (18′ 5”) at 120cm.
