Notes:November 1997 – Tim Hills: NW of the church by the wall – a clean bole. Some branches dip to the ground and have become embedded.
February 2000 – Tim Hills: Girth recorded as 19′ 7” (597cm) at 3′ and exactly 20′ (610cm) at 5′.
October 2005 – Tim Hills: Tree looks fine and healthy.
2010 – Tim Hills: Much chicken-in-the-woods shows that the yew is hollowing.
July 2025 – Tim Hills: Tree in excellent condition. Thick green foliage throughout. Still remnants of chicken-in-the-woods to be seen. One side of the tree now covered in ivy, which, along with elder etc filled much of the ground around the tree. Girth of 20′ 7” (627cm) at 3′ recorded.
