Notes:June 2000 – Tim Hills: The smaller of Bockleton’s yews grows SSW of the church. Its peeling bark and covering of ivy was noted. Girths of 18′ 0” (549cm) at the ground and 17′ 7” (536cm) at 2′ were recorded.
March 2002 – Phi Evans: A tree survey, commissioned by the Caring for God`s Acre project was carried out. Some dead wood was noted in the crown, but no remedial work was required.
March 2017 – Peter Norton: The male yew grows near the south west corner of the tower and has hollowed on its west side. The tree has a healthy crown. Old tombstones lean against the outer trunk and ivy is taking hold. With a slightly undulating tape the minimum girth was recorded as 17′ 11” (546cm).
September 2020 – Tim Hills: Tree remeasured as 18′ 8” (569cm) at the ground and 18′ 5” (561cm) at 2′.
