November 2010 – Tim Hills: The yew grows south of the church. In spite of its small girth it has many characteristics of a very old tree. Remnants of dead ‘white’ sapwood can be seen, and above head height are internal stems and large quantities of crumbling red heartwood. Girth was 13′ 6” (411cm) at 6”.
