Notes:July 2018 Tim Hills : The yew is a hollow shell with a skin that is generally between 15 and 30 cm thick. Inside the space is a thick internal stem. Nails had been hammered in at various heights, without obvious reason. The tree’s hollow closes over at a height of about 4m, above which rise two main branches. A few aril cases on trhe ground suggested that the tree is female. Measurements were as follows: 4.32 m at 30 cm; 4.38 m at 60 cm; 4.60 m at 120 cm.
