Notes:

Viscountess Bangor sent the following information to Lowe (1897). ‘There are sixty trees in lines on the terraces; nineteen of them have a girth of from 8 feet to 11 feet 6 inches’. The girth at the ground of seven of these yews is given as 11′ 5”, 10′ 0”, 10′ 0”, 11′ 5”, 11′ 5”, 11′ 6” and 10′ 3”. In 2010 it was described as a three rowed yew avenue. One of the yews had a girth of 3.91m. The trees seemed to be recovering well from a controversial severe crown reduction carried out in 1998.
