Notes:

July 1999 – Tim Hills: Chailey’s smaller yew also provides seating. Fire or smoke has damaged some upper parts of the tree. Its hollow appears to have been part filled with concrete. Girth of 16′ 6” (503cm) at 4′.
April 2004 – Tim Hills: Girth of 16′ 8” (508cm) at 3′ recorded.
2009 – Owen Johnson: Male. WSW of church. Some fire damage and concrete infill. 495cm at 0.5m.
March 2015 – Peter Norton: Hollow and has been filled with a mixture of concrete and bricks, which can be observed through a small cavity in the thin white wall of wood on the north side of the tree. Girth of 18′ 9” (571.5cm) at 18”, tapering to 16′ 6” (503cm) at 3′.
