January 2007 – Tim Hills: The yew grows at the edge of the churchyard, and a fence right up to the tree makes it impossible to view the whole trunk. What can be seen is a bole about 5′ high with many upright branches. Perhaps the tree had at some stage been cut down to this height. A gap at the base reveals internal growth filling its hollow spaces. A thickly foliaged tree with ivy growing high into its branches. Girth of 16’/18′.
