Notes:The Churchill Yew was so named when the estate was owned by Lord Beaverbrook, who used to have drinks served by a butler under this tree with Winston Churchill. It was possible, by crawling on hands and knees, to get under the canopy and stand by the bole of a tree encased in an umbrella like canopy that reaches the ground on all sides. The tree has layered.
