Notes:Yew 242761 on the Ancient Tree Inventory recorded by Basil Watkins as a massive corpse of an urniform yew. Further investigation would be needed to establish that this was the yew known as ‘The Queen’. The photograph is found in John Lowe’s 1897 book The Yew Trees of Great Britain and Ireland. This tree was probably a casualty of the 1987 storm which wrecked the grove. It is found at TQ1780254268.
