Tree girth: 455cm

Notes:

Tree 1 on the plan. On the north side of the combe, close to the point where a public footpath joins the combe road.
Girth in 2005 was 14′ 10” (452cm), keeping the tape horizontal at the ground level (top of slope).
In 2011, a girth of 14′ 11” (455cm) was recorded at the same point. The two large branches overhanging the road are dead, as are several others. It has a tall prolific central branch. The were obvious signs of hollowing in the bole where branches have been removed, though the tree gives the impression of being solid.
