Notes:According to the Dorset Record Office archives: ref:PE/CHC/RE1/1 date 1748-1886 the yew was ‘brought as a seedling from Martinstown churchyard 1802’. In 2010 a male yew with a girth of 7′ 4″ (224cm) at 1′ was recorded growing just south east of the porch. An additional girth of 7ft 2ins (218cm) at 3ft was recorded. The tree has a long straight bole. Ivy was well established and a large elder grew next to the trunk.
