Tree girth: 368cm

Girth height: at 90cm

Tree sex: female

Date of visit: 10-Mar-03

Source of earliest mention: 1940's: The King's England - Arthur Mee

Notes:

March 2003 – Tim Hills: The yew appears solid with a bole of 8′ from which many branches develop. In the 1940s Mee described a yew ‘perhaps 600 years old’ spreading over the tombstones by the church. If this was the tree described its age was overstated. Girth of 12′ 1” (368cm) at 3′.
Geoff Garlick – June 2004: Girth 370cm at 90cm (12′ 4” at 3′) south of the church. Female. No obvious sign of hollowing.
