Notes:

April 2017 – Paul Wood: About 10m north from the centre of the church is what can only be described as an ivy tree. Closer inspection revealed that ivy has colonised a yew with a bole of about 20′ at the ground-and perhaps double that size at a height of about 12′. It seemed possible that there might still be some life in this yew, though I could see no foliage and branches have been removed. Although the tree is 98 per cent covered in ivy, the covering is thin to a height of about 10′. The Hereford council archives print of a watercolour (c1900) shows a substantial tree in a similar position to this ivy clad yew.
