Notes:There are few days when the wind does not blow, usually straight off the Severn estuary and with great power. The extraordinary yew ceased to resist the wind’s strength long ago and has leaned so far that its top almost reaches the ground many metres away. It is getting rather close to the road. Perhaps the top branches could be encouraged to reach the ground and take root. This would eventaully create a yew arch.
