July 2014 – Tim Hills: The ivy covered yew grows at the west end of the church. In spite of a complete covering of ivy, a hollow was discovered on the west side of the tree, where soil was also piled against the trunk. Many branches develop above a height of 6/8ft. Girth was 14′ 9” (450cm) at 1′.
2017 – Paul Wood: The yew is ivy covered and surrounded by elder. I removed some from the mound of soil which was almost 6′ high. There was much new growth on its plentiful branches. I thought the tree was male.
