Tree girth: 455cm

Date of visit: 8-Apr-06

Source of earliest mention: No data

Notes:

April 2006 – Tim Hills: A tall good looking tree, dividing at a height of 10’/12′ into several large branches. Ivy has climbed to the top of at least two of its largest branches. Girth was 14′ 11” (455cm) at 3′.
Sept 2014 – Peter Norton: The male yew close to and south of the west tower girthed 15′ 5” (470cm) at 3′ over much ivy.
2015 – Tim Hills: Girth at 3′ was 15′ 6” (472cm), though this height no longer seemed a good place to provide accurate measurement. The narrowest point close to a height of 3′ gave a girth of 15′ 4” (467cm), though even this will have been affected by ivy. Measured at the ground, around a spreading root, produces a girth close to 18′ (549cm).
