1987 – J Daryll Evans: Girth was recorded as 650 cm (21′ 4″) at 1m.
1998 Tim Hills: The largest yew grows NW of the church. Its ancient bole of about 3′ divides into 2 main branches. It leans slightly towards the church. Two of its main branches had wrapped around old hollow branches.
In 2000 a girth of 19′ 11” (607cm) was recorded close to the ground, avoiding the roots.
In 2007 a girth of 20′ 8” (630cm) at the ground included the jutting root.
By 2016 the tree was so smothered in ivy that Peter Norton was unable to measure.
Two of the remaining yews are Veteran trees on account of their hollowing condition.
