May 2002 – Tim Hills: The female yew shows more signs of great age, with its main growth carried on hollowing branches. A leaning limb which may eventually split from the tree is held to it with wire and rope. Girth of 12′ 0” (391cm) at lowest point.
January 2015 – Peter Norton: A stone wall surrounds the tree with stone slabs on top that reach the bole. These are starting to split as the tree expands. The female tree is starting to hollow, as seen on its south facing side. A minimum girth of 12′ 5” (378cm) was obtained with an undulating tape between ground and root crown.
2016 – Tim Hills: measured close to the ground but above the roots a girth of 12′ 8” (386cm).
