Notes:The first five photos are of a female yew with a girth of 11′ 11”. It is a solid tree with its trunk restricted on one side by rock. Two distinct root systems have developed, one at its base and the other on a rocky ledge several feet above ground. The final four photos are of a female yew with a girth of about 7′ that grows straight out of the rock. Fifteen metres away is a thick piece of exposed root. There is no knowing how much further it extends from the tree.
