June 2006 Peter Andrews: Impossible to measure due to spray and elder, but the impression was of a large girthed yew. In 1938 Mee described it as ‘a great yew making a bower over an oak lychgate’. There was rubbish in its centre and a hidden lawn mower was hanging from its branches. It was otherwise in fine condition.
