Notes:

A 400 year old garden and what is described as ‘an ancient yew tunnel’. It used to be kept as a 15 foot hedge and so a lot of the branches are truncated. On the left hand side there are 57 trees and on the right a further 53. They vary from very slim trunks to the one pictured which measured 450cm at ground level. There are many other yew trees downhill from the vegetable garden, the largest of which has a girth of 353cm at its widest point.
