Notes:

May 2011 – Tim Hills: A hollow tree, its foliage thin as it recovers from being overwhelmed by ivy. The cut stems were as thick as any I have seen. In the opening can be seen the sapwood shell of the original trunk, around which the present tree has developed. It has also suffered from fires lit in its hollow. The trunk is covered in adventitious shoots as the tree begins what should be a successful recovery.
With a girth of under 4m the tree has previously been classified as notable. Because it displays veteran characteristics it is now classified as V-con (veteran on account of its condition).
