Notes:A small gap at the ground facing the wall suggests that the tree is hollowing. The trunk is thickly fluted. There is a large swelling at between 5′ and 9′ from where branches develop growing outwards away from the tree. A rather thin central upright stem above the bulge was covered in epicormic growth. Some black stains on parts of the trunk smelt like tar.The yew was also measured as 15′ 10” at or close to the ground.
