Notes:

1895 – Horsfield: 18′ at 3′.
1993 – Owen Johnson: Height of 14m x 216cm diameter @ 1.5m (Sussex Tree Book).
1999 – Tim Hills: A large piece of dead wood will eventually decay leaving a large gap to the hollow. In the space are large and small internal stems. Girth was 24′ 2″ (737cm) around the base.
2015 – Peter Norton: The large section of dead wood observed in 1999 still remains and just offers a glimpse of a small internal stem. The yew will eventually split into two distinct halves.
