July 2018 – Tim Hills: The yew grows on a slope with spreading roots. It has a bole height of 2/2.50m above the higher ground. Above this height are many thick branches both upright and angled. There was considerable epicormic bulging at 120cm. Thick ivy had been dealt with but what remained probably added 10cm to the girth measurement of 4.46m at 50cm – measured above the highest ground.
