April 2010 – Peter Norton: This hollow old tree is known as the ‘Domesday Yew’ and features in the first 3 photographs. A girth of 13′ 4” (406cm) at both 1′ and 3′ was recorded. The 3rd photo shows clearly its internal stem. The 4th photo shows a nearby male yew with a girth of 11′ at 1′.
