From the Parish News May 1986. Churchyard Yew Tree: This magnificent tree was blown down in a storm in March 16th 1986 . Mr J W Hunt has written as follows:-‘According to my information the yew tree was planted on 6th December, 1718, by the then Vicar, the Rev. Frampton Huntington. Our tree was planted in the fifth year of the reign of King George’.
