Notes:The yew has a fluted trunk and a girth of 16′ 5” (500cm) measured at 2′ above its spreading roots. From a 10′ high trunk develop numerous upright branches. One piece of old sapwood shows through – it still seemed to have the old heartwood behind it. There was a large piece of old chicken of the woods (Laetiporus sulphureus) fungus on the ground.
