Notes:The yew lives on, standing on the top of a rocky outcrop. As well as the large root recorded in 1874 and shown in the 1st photograph, another winds its way among the rocks to emerge as a new vigorous branch almost at ground level and a considerable distance from the trunk. In this area are many yews of various shape and size.
