Notes:

The male yew grows inside a square enclosure about 11ft long and 3 feet high. Today it consists of two sections, a large hollow fragment and a solid stem. Some of the fragmentary remains indicate that the tree has been larger girthed than the 20ft recorded today. If the tree is as old as the present church it would have an age of about 750 years.
