Girth height: not measured

Tree sex: unspecified

Date of visit: 9-Sep-09

Notes:

The Nottingham Graveyard Guide of 1911 describes that ‘a fine old yew graces the neighbourhood of the disused south porch’. A tall and narrow yew, it is also small girthed. Hollowness and pieces of decaying wood show that it has been larger. Ivy prevented detailed examination but its girth appeared to be about 10′ and may once have been several feet more.
With a girth of under 4m the tree has previously been classified as notable. Because it displays veteran characteristics it is now classified as V-con (veteran on account of its condition).
