April 2003 – Tim Hills: There are several yews at this site, most unusual is the pollarding of 4 trees seen from the road. Stumps suggest there might have once been 6 in this row. The yew Mee recorded grows on the other side of the church. Its fine red fluted trunk bulges at 5′ and continues to expand above that height, with many thick upright branches enclosed in a curtain of upright twiggy growth. Girth 14′ at 1′.
