Hammer Hill - nr Haslemere

2008: Recorded by the Woodland Trust with a girth of 13′ 8” (417cm) at 5′. It is Ancient Tree Hunt number 58478.
2013: Recorded by Peter Norton as a male tree close to a footpath junction on a slight bank at SU8738131884. Girth was taken at the root crown with a slightly undulating tape to ensure minimum girth, and 13′ 10” (422cm) recorded (photos 1 and 2). By the side of the path at SU8737931757 is Ancient Tree Hunt 58477. It is a female tree with a girth in 2013 of 11′ 8”at the root crown (photo 3).
